Well, some people fish and some people collect comic books. It looks like my hobby is working on this website. I went out and registered hintermeister.com (tough luck to all the rest of you named Hintermeister, I guess) and got a web host. And now, here we are. This particular area will be updated once a week or two (hopefully), and contain any miscellaneous news, entertainment, or general trivia that I think you might want to hear about. The content will change on this page fairly often but I'll put the latest date that anything was added up above (it is also listed below on each page of this website).

Over the July 4 holiday we went camping at the Outer Banks. We've been there twice now and had a great time again. There's quite a few tourist things to do but you can also find a pretty quiet part of the beach and just watch the ocean when you want to. Along with searching for shells, we saw the Wright brothers' museum, four lighthouses, and a lot of people fishing.

Lately we've been subjected to the constant zooming of hummingbirds. We have at least four of the little guys hanging around our two feeders. They don't like to share, so there's always some wild aerobatics and little chirps outside our house.

Rachel's latest excitement is swimming lessons. She's been going every night this week and she'll have lessons every night next week. She's doing pretty well; we're mainly just trying to keep her comfortable with pools and swimming. She likes the lessons, at least, and seems a little disappointed when they are done each night.

I'll be trying some new things out on this site for a little while so stop on by once in a while! If you find a broken link, please let me know. -- Gerry
