What's new? Friday August 20, 1999
The waterfalls were great, and Ronda and I managed to take the boat ride right into the mist under the Horseshoe Falls. We also went to a nice butterfly house, saw some botanical gardens, and gambled for an hour or two in the casino there (net loss: $30 Canadian). We also went to Toronto one day and went up to the top of the CN Tower (great view, terrible lines to the elevators). We also ate in the Hard Rock Cafe in the SkyDome and looked around the area. We didn't spend too much time in Toronto, though, due to the long waiting in the CN Tower. On our way back home, Ronda, Rachel, and I spent a day in Baltimore where we saw the National Aquarium (we all loved the dolphin show), visited ESPN Zone, walked around the pier, and went to an Orioles/Twins game in Camden Yards. The Twins lost and it was pretty hot, but we had a fun time anyway. By the way, I am now a published writer. Check out the current copy of ESPN the Magazine with Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa on the cover. I wrote a letter to them that is printed in that issue. I understand that they publish the best letters first, at the top of the page. I should have a longer story about my writing career soon - look for it where you see the photos of us.
