As I mentioned, we returned to Broadway
to rest from our day of walking and hiking.around the Cotswolds.
We stayed at a terrific B&B called
The Olive Branch
and loved it. Our
room
overlooked the back yard which had a nice English garden and the owners
were very nice. After resting a bit we went out and ate and
eventually ended up having dessert in another restaurant that we had
enjoyed the prior evening. We then returned to our room to watch
a semifinal game of the Euro 2004 soccer tournament that Ronda was
really loathe to miss. At half time I went out and took some pictures
of the town which are below. The buildings are made of a honey
colored stone and look great as the sun sets.
The Olive Branch Bed and
Breakfast is the building with the green sign in front. Our room
overlooked the back yard.
This is the back yard of the Olive Branch.
The owners have a great black lab dog so we left the frisbee in the
yard for this picture to remember him. A view of our room can be
seen in this
picture
on the B&B's website, the big window area at the top of the
building to the right of the umbrella is our room.
Broadway,
in Worcestershire, England. Yes, like the sauce. We can
pronounce it now! The sign on the lamp post in the center of the
picture points out a public footpath leading towards the right.
I liked
this house. It has three peaks on the roof going towards the rear.
An attempt
at an artsy photo. I've got another one where the Union Jack flag is
fluttering a little more but this one turned out better. Ideally
I'd have no cars parked but you take what is given to you.
