What's new? Monday September 27, 1999 It's been pretty quiet with us lately so hopefully this isn't too dull. The big thing here in North Carolina has been the terrible flooding in the eastern part of the state. I've never seen anything like it. Along with the tremendous loss of housing and property there has been a staggering number of livestock that drowned. We donated our old portable dog kennel like the ones that you can use in airplanes since there are a lot of stranded housepets. Our prayers are with those who are affected. Rachel's really having a great time in her dance class every Saturday. She especially likes skipping and twirling. In the first two classes they didn't twirl around and apparently to Rachel that is the essence of ballet. She was very disappointed but we told her that they would probably get to that in a later class. Fortunately they did by the third class. During the class all of the girls line up and go out to the water fountain for a quick break. It's funny to see how much Rachel is into the dance class because she never even looks around to see us - it's just off to the drinking fountain and back to the class. That's about all for now. I hope to put some artwork on the web soon, and photos sometime next week. -- Gerry
